ABOUT ME

"The seeds of totalitarian regimes are nurtured by misery and want. They spread and grow in the evil soil of poverty and strife. They reach their full growth when the hope of a people for a better life has died." - The Truman Doctrine

The above quote has been a part of my life for a long time. The main impact I get from it is that I feel as if Former President Truman means to watch out for people who want to much because they will lose track of what is right and what is wrong.

A little about myself:

I'm from a very small town in South Texas called Gonzales. Home of the "Come and Take It" cannon and a little over 7000 people. I am the youngest of three, I have an older sister and an older brother, and we were blessed with some of the greatest parents/role models we could have ever asked for.

Praising our Lord and Savior on Sunday's is my worship, spending time making memories with my family and my friends is my excitement, hunting and fishing is my meditation, and taking care of our cattle and horses is my pride and joy!

Working comes second nature to me because I've been doing it ever since I could hold up a tool. I truly enjoy the aspect of hard work, it leaves me with a great sense of accomplishment when I finish tasks. My goal is to be like my grandpa's, which is to have a strong work ethic my entire life and a fantastic understanding that true happiness starts with yourself.

I grew up attending a private school all my life and participated in many extracurricular activities and sports like football, baseball, track, golf, FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), NHS (National Honor Society), and Student Council. We ended up winning 4 state championship titles throughout my high school career. 2 in football and 2 in baseball.

I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, with a B.S. in Horticulture. I graduated December 2018 with a 3.7 overall GPA. The fantastic horticulture faculty and staff at this great university truly prepared me to excel in any walks of life, and for that, I am eternally grateful. As of October 2017, I was inducted into the Pi Alpha Xi National Horticulture Honor Society here at Texas A&M. Shortly after in the Spring of 2018, I was inducted into both the National Society of Leadership and Success and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

After graduation, I accepted a job at Guadalupe Valley Electric Co-op as a Line Design Technician 1. Being that this company is based out of the area that I grew up, it has really been so special to me and quite the honor that I get to help serve the people of my community that I know and love. My daily goal is to make at least one person's day great, by simply just trying to serve them to the best of my ability.

I am currently working everyday with the hopes of sharpening my skills and expanding my experience level, so that I can excel in every task that I face and can keep exceeding my prior limits to achieve new goals and aspirations that I continually set for myself.
